The First Presbyterian Choir, made up of all ages including college students through seasoned adults, sings for the morning worship services throughout the year. The Choir divides itself to sing for the two morning services but rehearses as one and sings together for major music services at certain times in the year. Chief among those services are the annual Christmas Lessons and Carols services of mid-December. For those occasions, oratorio presentations and other significant services the Choir is joined by the musicians of the Mississippi Symphony. The Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 5:50 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and is always looking for singers to join them. Any who would like to be a part are encouraged to contact the Director by phone or email.
